Description

Berber rug in the Boujad tradition, newly made, handwoven in natural wool. A salmon-pink field, vivid and uneven, framed by two charcoal-grey zigzag lines running down the sides. In the centre, three rows of diamonds: above, small ones filled with ecru, fuchsia and sea green; in the middle, large concentric diamonds outlined in fuchsia and charcoal; below, smaller diamonds beside blocks of vertical stripes. At the base, a row of saltires and crosses with a fuchsia triangle. Long, dense pile, ecru kilim end and knotted fringes.

As with all handcraftwork, slight variations in pattern, texture or measurements may appear. These particularities are part of the character of each piece.

We aim to photograph every rug as faithfully as possible. If you need more images or additional information, we’ll be glad to help.

Care Instructions

For regular maintenance, simply vacuum gently using a medium or low setting and avoiding aggressive rotating brushes. If the size allows, vacuum in different directions to remove dust more effectively. You can also shake the rug out or air it occasionally.

Wool is a natural fibre with self-cleaning properties, so it does not require intensive cleaning.

If a stain appears, act quickly: blot the liquid without rubbing and clean with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Avoid chemical products that could damage the fibres or affect the colour. Leave the rug to air dry.

Natural fibres do not respond well to excessive water or intensive mechanical cleaning. The use of a washing machine is also not recommended.

Air the rug from time to time, even in some sunlight, to help keep it in good condition. It is also advisable to rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.

Avoiding the use of shoes and, if possible, placing a rug pad underneath can help protect the rug and extend its lifespan.

If the rug requires a deeper clean, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaning service.
