Description

Vintage Moroccan rug handwoven in wool, with a long, dense, plush pile. A plain field in salmon and peach pink, softened by time, lightening to undyed tones in some areas and more toasted in others, with no pattern other than its own natural shading. A raised line runs down the centre from one end to the other, dividing it into two halves. Dark grey fringes at one end and a woven finish at the other.
It is a vintage piece. As with any handcrafted work, and all the more in a rug with years behind it, slight variations in pattern, texture or measurements may appear, along with small traces of time that are part of its history. We photograph it as faithfully as possible.

Care Instructions

For regular maintenance, simply vacuum gently using a medium or low setting and avoiding aggressive rotating brushes. If the size allows, vacuum in different directions to remove dust more effectively. You can also shake the rug out or air it occasionally.

Wool is a natural fibre with self-cleaning properties, so it does not require intensive cleaning.

If a stain appears, act quickly: blot the liquid without rubbing and clean with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Avoid chemical products that could damage the fibres or affect the colour. Leave the rug to air dry.

Natural fibres do not respond well to excessive water or intensive mechanical cleaning. The use of a washing machine is also not recommended.

Air the rug from time to time, even in some sunlight, to help keep it in good condition. It is also advisable to rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.

Avoiding the use of shoes and, if possible, placing a rug pad underneath can help protect the rug and extend its lifespan.

If the rug requires a deeper clean, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaning service.
