Description
Handwoven vintage Boujad rug in wool. Boujad rugs originate from the Khouribga region and are recognised for their warm backgrounds, geometric compositions, and well-defined borders. This piece features an unusual colour palette that makes it particularly versatile.
The background is a warm, luminous blend of sand and salmon tones. Across it runs a network of diamonds outlined in soft green, extending across the entire surface. The main motifs are concentrated in the centre: diamonds in fuchsia pink, red, and brown arranged along a vertical axis. A violet and white border frames the composition, giving it a strong and well-defined presence.
This piece works well in living or dining rooms with neutral palettes, where colour is introduced in a structured and balanced way. The violet border and soft green diamond motifs are the tones that interact most naturally with the surrounding space.
The texture is dense, with a short and even pile. As a handwoven vintage piece, it may display variations in the weave or small signs of age and use. These characteristics are part of its history and contribute to its unique character.

Care Instructions
Wool is a natural fibre with self-cleaning properties, so it does not require intensive cleaning.
If a stain appears, act quickly: blot the liquid without rubbing and clean with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Avoid chemical products that could damage the fibres or affect the colour. Leave the rug to air dry.
Natural fibres do not respond well to excessive water or intensive mechanical cleaning. The use of a washing machine is also not recommended.
Air the rug from time to time, even in some sunlight, to help keep it in good condition. It is also advisable to rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.
Avoiding the use of shoes and, if possible, placing a rug pad underneath can help protect the rug and extend its lifespan.
If the rug requires a deeper clean, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaning service.
